Pig Pen Enterprises, based in Salisbury, NC, started several years ago when Brad VunCannon (Pig Pen) got the notion to blend some spices together to make better a seasoning than could be bought in the store. (Kinda like the better mousetrap thing)

After a good many adult beverages and countless hours in the kitchen, Pig Pen's Original Seasoning was born. It is truly an original blend, not copied from anything on the shelf. It has been touted as the perfect seasoning that works just as well on beef as it does on pork, seafood, poultry, veggies and eggs. Yea, that's right, eggs. Go ahead and try it and you will understand.

A couple of years later, Pig decided to go after the chili heads and came out with his version of Hot and Spicy.  Based on the same recipe as Original, Pig "tweaked" a few ingredients to not only increase the heat and sweat level, but also maintain that great flavor profile.  In other words, Hot and Spicy doesn't cause you to go blind and not taste anything for the next week after you use it.  The flavor of the spices and the heat compliment each other like no other on the market. 

Welcome to the amazing world of great food and great flavor.  Hopefully 2012 will bring some more delectible seasonings that only the Pig could stir up.
